For the last three and a half years, I worked as a Senior Product Designer at Twitch, a platform for live video streaming with over 30 million daily active users watching creative content they love and connecting with their favorite communities.
On the Monetization team, I focused on creating impactful products and features that empower streamers to connect with their communities and amplify high-engagement moments. My work spanned across key initiatives like Twitch Charity, Hype Train All-Time High, Community Goals and many more. These tools aimed to enhance streamer monetization through natural community driven moments.
Twitch Charity

Our team has transformed how streamers support important causes, enabling fundraising for over 16,000 charities. The initiative has achieved nearly three times its adoption goal, with 70% participation. Featured at TwitchCon 2023, it highlights the role of streamers in helping those in need. Streamers unite audiences around the world, turning entertainment into a force for good.
Hype Train All-Time High

"Hype Train All-Time High" elevates community engagement and streamer support by highlighting opportunities for communities to push for record-breaking achievements during live streams. By showcasing these extraordinary milestones, the feature inspires viewers to rally together, fostering a sense of excitement, pride, and friendly competition.

First-party Community Goals is a powerful tool designed to help streamers grow their communities, engage their audiences, and maximize their earnings. By recommending realistic follower and subscription goals tailored to a channel’s size, this feature simplifies goal setting and drives meaningful engagement without relying on third-party overlays that distract from content.

As Twitch increased ad density across the platform, creators expressed a strong need for a universal ad-free solution to offer their communities. The existing Turbo subscription model was outdated and underutilized, presenting an opportunity to redesign Turbo into a scalable, user-friendly, and revenue-driving product.
